HomePlate Health, Inc ("HomePlate," "we," "us," or "our") operates homeplate.care and related services. We connect families with senior care facilities to provide weekly meal delivery for their loved ones.

Information you provide

• Account registration: name, email address, password
• Profile information: phone number, date of birth, dietary restrictions, allergens
• Delivery information: home address, delivery instructions, preferred delivery window
• Emergency contact: name, phone, relationship
• Payment information: processed by Stripe — we do not store card numbers

Information collected automatically

• IP address, browser type, device identifiers
• Pages visited, features used, time on site
• Order history and delivery status

• Provide and operate the HomePlate meal delivery service
• Match you with the most suitable nearby senior care facility
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
• Send transactional emails: order confirmations, delivery notifications
• Communicate service updates, changes to your plan, or issues with delivery
• Improve our matching algorithm and service quality
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for advertising.

You may provide dietary restrictions, allergens, and other health-relevant information to help us match you with appropriate facilities and ensure safe meal preparation. This information is:

• Shared only with the specific facility preparing your meals
• Not shared with third parties for advertising or research
• Stored with access controls and encryption at rest (Supabase / PostgreSQL)

HomePlate is not a HIPAA-covered entity and does not transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA. Dietary preferences are not medical records. If you require HIPAA-compliant services, please contact us.

We share your information with:

• Senior care facilities: name, dietary restrictions, allergens, delivery address and instructions — to prepare and deliver your meals
• Delivery drivers: name, delivery address, delivery window — to complete your delivery
• Stripe: payment processing. See stripe.com/privacy
• Supabase: database and authentication infrastructure. See supabase.com/privacy
• Resend: email delivery. See resend.com/privacy
• Legal: when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we retain order history for 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of personal information not subject to legal holds by emailing team@homeplate.care.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent at any time

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• All data encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
• Row-level security on all database tables — users can only access their own data
• Authentication via Supabase with leaked password protection (HaveIBeenPwned)
• No plaintext passwords stored — bcrypt hashing via Supabase Auth
• Access to production systems limited to HomePlate team members

We use session cookies strictly necessary to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

HomePlate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by email and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance.
